The email was sent under the name CBO Daniel Bernard. As CrowdStrike’s CBO, he is responsible for leading the company’s channels, alliances, and partnership efforts.
What Happened That Day?
On Friday, July 19, 2024, at 04:09 UTC, the company was working on regular operations when Crowdstrike released a content configuration update for the Windows sensor to gather telemetric data on possible novel threat techniques.
The update, which was supposed to be part of the Falcon platform’s regular dynamic protection mechanisms, resulted in a Windows system crash.
