Sharp Announced Aquos R9 Plus Wish 4 Mobiles

New Jersey-based Sharp Corporation has unveiled two smartphones designed by Miyake Design. They feature a sleek yet minimalist design, which will initially be launched in Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore.

Planning for a wider release, Sharp announced Aquos R9 Plus Wish 4. So, here’s what we know so far. Both mobiles are integrated with powerful displays, long battery life, and high performance.

While the Aquos R9 combines a high-image-quality camera with the largest stereo speakers, the Aquos wish4 combines durability with a rugged display.

The Aquos R9 will have a 6.5-inch IGZO OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the 1,500 nits peak brightness will make this phone amazing for gaming and entertainment.

Besides the improved display, the R9 also has a 50MP main camera, which is supervised by Leica Camera AG. Equipped with a 1/1.55-inch image sensor and Leica Hektor camera lens, the picture quality is supposed to be better than flagships.

Looking at the display and camera, one thing is sure: the specs will not disappoint, and the performance will be pretty good.

Aquios R9 adopts IP68 (water/dust resistance) and MIL-STD-810H (shock resistance). However, Sharp has a unique camera setup design, which some people might not favor.

Unlike its predecessors, which used Qualcomm’s advanced chips, R9 uses Snapdragon® 7+ Gen 3 Mobile Platform processor.

This phone will definitely stand out with its design and two color options (green and white). Pricing is yet to be done.

Sharp Aquos wish4

Unlike the Aquos R9, the Aquos wish4 has a bigger LCD display of 6.6 inches. It is the cheaper alternative to the R9, and many things are scaled down in Wish4.

Wish4 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which is still a pretty good specs for a casual phone.

It will have a 50MP main camera, and the overall performance of this phone is pretty good. The phone uses about 60% recycled plastic materials for the main unit housing. Likewise, the side keys use 100% recycled aluminum.

When Are Sharp Aquos R9 and Wish 4 Coming? Aim for a broader appeal

For now, Sharp Corp will launch Aquos R9 and Wish4 in Japan starting from mid-July. As for now, we are waiting for the full picture, and let’s hope the Aquos mobile review exceeds our expectations.

The official release has yet to be done, so we must wait to see how the phones perform based on their claims.
