In the history of TechRadar, this is the first time they have presented awards at the CEDIA Expo. The event went well, with exciting products showcased and witnessed by visitors. CEDIA Expo maintained the focus on home theater and smart home tech.
The products showcased at TechRadar CEDIA were some of the most innovative products in an Expo. The CEDIA Expo can also be called an event of exciting home entertainment products. Products like soundbars and projectors were the most interesting at the event.
We recently saw several innovative gadgets at IFA 2024. However, the products unveiled at TechRadar were mostly tailored for home entertainment. So, if you are a fan of home theaters and tech, you would feel great to know about the products we will mention.
5. Epson QL7000 3LCD Projector
Epson’s projector series will undergo a major revamp in 2024, and the company announced three new Q-Series models at the CEDIA Expo 2024.
The products showcased at TechRadar CEDIA boasted significantly increased brightness compared to earlier Epson 4K home theatre projectors. The QL7000 ($29,999) was touted as the brightest, with a dazzling 10,000 ANSI lumens.
10,000 ANSI lumens is incredibly bright for a projector, allowing the QL7000 to display bright, high-contrast images even in a room with overhead lighting.

At CEDIA, Epson utilized their presentation of the QL7000 as an example of how this projector can counteract ambient lighting. The NFL football game on display appeared on a 180-inch Phantom Halr+, and it felt like watching it on a gigantic TV.
The visuals didn’t let up when the demo switched to some Top Gun: Maverick footage; the QL7000 was quite at ease with the bright-room movie. In addition to sports and movie modes, Epson’s new flagship projector also features HDMI 2.1 inputs, 4K at 120Hz, and gaming support.
Its sleek, angular casing can easily be mounted from the ceiling like a work of modern art. Multiple lenses are available, including a short-throw lens ideal for close-to-wall installations.
4. Sony Bravia Projector 9
Sony introduced new home theater projectors, but the Bravia Projector 9 that the company debuted at the CEDIA Expo was well worth the wait. The Bravia 9 ($32,000) is one of a pair of new projectors, with the Bravia Projector 8 ($16,000) offering a less expensive Sony projector option.
The company is adopting the same naming convention for its new Bravia 9 mini-LED TV and Bravia 8 OLED TV. The new projectors boast a new XR Processor with dynamic frame-by-frame HDR tone mapping.

The projector 9 also has XR Black to enhance contrast, HDMI 2.1 inputs with 4K 120Hz support for gaming, and an extremely respectable 12ms specified input lag similar to what you find on the best gaming TVs.
The Bravia Projector 9’s brightness is rated at an astonishing 3,400 lumens, and the Projector 8’s is 2,700. Now, moving on to the next topic, which seems to be one of the interesting Products Showcased At TechRadar CEDIA.

3. Samsung The Premiere 9 Ultra Short Throw Projector
Samsung’s new The Premiere 9, above, with its new little bro, The Premiere 8, is the sequel to the ultra-short-throw projector The Premiere LSP9T, which ranks as the best option for sound in the best 4K projector guide.
The Premiere 9 produced an impressively bright picture with rich colors, something you’d expect from a triple RGB laser 4K projector with a specified 3,450 ISO lumens brightness.
TechRadar has a Premiere 9 review underway, and spoiler alert: the sound and picture quality are top-notch. At $5,999, it’s not the cheapest ultra-short-throw projector option, but its performance, living room-friendly looks, and great Tizen smart TV platform for streaming should make it a worthy successor to the LSP9T.
2. Kaleidescape Strato V Movie Player
Kaleidescape’s video players and server were some of the best products showcased at TechRadar CEDIA Expo. The companies had models from giants like LG, JVC, JBL, and Sony.
Until now, Kaleidescape systems represented a very expensive playback option compared to streaming with an Apple TV 4K or playing discs on the best 4K Blu-ray players. The company launched its new, more affordable Strato V Movie Player ($3,995) just before the CEDIA Expo.

This new Strato V is different because it’s a standalone player with enough onboard storage to hold ten 4 K movies downloaded from the Kaleidescape Movie Store.
Kaleidescape movie downloads feature lossless audio soundtracks similar to Blu-ray discs, and the Strato V introduces Dolby Vision HDR support, a previously unavailable feature.
1. Klipsch Flexus Core 300 Soundbar
Klipsch’s Flexus Core 300 is the world’s first Dolby Atmos/DTS:X soundbar with built-in Dirac Live room correction.
What’s most critical about Dirac Live is that it enhances not just the bass performance most affected by room modes in a listening space but rather the full range of sound, yielding cleaner bass and more transparent dialogue.
This is one of the products showcased at TechRadar CEDIA. It has a 5.1.2-channel soundbar that sounded great in a 7.1.4-channel demo paired with the company’s Flexus SURR 200 surround speakers, a new model with an up-firing driver, and an SUB 200 subwoofer. The total system price is $1,800.
However, the Core 300 soundbar will ship with a limited-bandwidth version of Dirac Live. You’d need to buy an optional upgrade for the full-bandwidth variant.
Unlike the company’s Flexus Core 200 soundbar, the latest has Wi-Fi, Chromecast, and Airplay streaming. It also has a new feature: one HDMI 2.1 input supporting gaming up to 4K 120Hz.
