DJI has brought a new Software Design Ratio (SDR) system that takes the video transmission system to a new level.
A video system with an excellent operating range, DJI SDR transmission offers enhanced stability. Further, the system supports Wi-Fi for temporary monitoring, offering teams flexibility.
DJI’s latest transmission utilizes both SDR and Wi-Fi video transmission modes. Thus, filmers can experience increased efficiency and a stable interface.

DJI provides diverse monitoring methods to facilitate supervision at the platform.
It can output up to three SDR signals and two Wi-Fi signals simultaneously. The receiver can also output to monitors via SDI/HDMI and connect to your smartphone over Wi-Fi.

DJI introduced a USB-C output monitoring method that combines stability with convenience.
You can use the newly upgraded DJI Ronin App, which facilitates you with other features like:
- Camera sources switching
- Local recording
- Playback with multiple monitoring options
You can control the RS series stabilizers, which support:
- Force mobile
- Virtual joysticks
- Recentring functions
You can maintain channel settings when DJI SDR transmission is connected to the app in SDR control mode or Wi-Fi mode.
DJI SDR transmission offers enhanced stability with PTP control over cameras, allowing adjustment of aperture, shutter, ISO, and camera functions through the app. It also supports CEC control for Sony cameras, enabling Mirror Control mode.

The optimum transmission latency is 80 ms (including camera and screen display latency) and 35 ms (excluding camera and screen display latency) within the operating temperature of -10° to 40° C.

What Should You Know Before Using DJI SDR?
Before using DJI SDR at hot temperatures, ensure your working environment is well-ventilated. Avoid blocking air vents, and do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
The receiver can display signal quality through indicator lights: green for intense, yellow for medium, and red for poor signal strength; please focus on the lights before blaming the device for poor signal strength and make changes accordingly.
