    Elon Vs. Alexandre De Moraes has a history of disputes

    Elon Musk and Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes have a history of intense disputes dating back to April 2024.




  • It all began when Musk accused Moraes of censorship and violating Brazilian law. The Tesla CEO asserted that Moraes imposed censorship demands and requested private user information from X.

    In response, Moraes issued subpoenas and even threatened to suspend the platform in Brazil if court orders were not complied with.

    This conflict escalated in August 2024 when Moraes issued a digital summons against Musk. The president demanded that Musk appoint a legal representative for the company in Brazil within 24 hours. Elon was threatened with suspending the social media platform in Brazil if he failed to appoint anyone.

    Consequently, X closed its office in Brazil and laid off employees, justifying the decision to protect its staff from threats of imprisonment and fines imposed by Moraes.
