  • In early May 2024, SpaceX revealed their EVA suit for the Polaris Dawn mission. And now, the space agency is gearing up for another ambitious project, EarthCare.

So, when is SpaceX launching ESA EarthCARE mission? The company has set Falcon 9’s launch on May 28, 2024, from the Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

SpaceX Launching ESA EarthCARE: The Brightest News!

Soon to commence, the ESA is all set to launch its new Earth-observing satellite, intending to obtain revolutionary insights and study the climate.

  • What understanding will unfold? Well, the Earth Cloud Aerosol and Radiation Explorer (EarthCARE) have developed instruments for its study purposes.

A satellite like Starlink Satellite,  Falcon 9, will thoroughly examine and study our earth’s surrounding clouds and aerosols to predict the climatic dynamics through this mission.

    Details About The Launch

SpaceX says the EarthCARE mission will be the 7th flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster. It previously launched Crew-7, CRS-29, PACE, Transporter-10, and two Starlink missions.

Closer to the launch, the spacecraft will secure live broadcasting coverage 30 minutes earlier for enthusiasts to witness, scheduled for the 28th of May, 2024.

The spacecraft will be deployed to a sun-synchronous Earth orbit at 393 km in altitude and a 97.05° inclination.

  • The Original Launch Plan That Dated Back 2022

Initially, Falcon 9 was set to launch in June 2022 on a Russian Soyuz rocket in collaboration with Arianespace. However, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the EarthCARE mission was set to launch on Europe’s Vega-C rocket.

Moreover, ESA shifted plans after a static fire test and then the mission was assigned to SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.

We are hopeful that SpaceX launching ESA EarthCARE mission will set a revolutionary blueprint for scientific and technological advancement.
