  • California-based artificial intelligence company Cerebras achieved unicorn status after opening in 2015. Recently, WSE 3 maker Cerebras partners with Dell. The news is spreading like wildfire on social media and the internet.

Therefore, let’s see what this partnership means and what the future of the two collaborators will be like. We will also discuss whether the company is ready to replace Nvidia‘s AI supremacy.

The company launched its Wafer Scale Engine 3 (WS-3) in March 2024. It powers the CS-3 system and provides excellent GPU memory and performance.

  • As a cherry on top, Cerebras announced a collaboration with American technology company Dell Technologies. With this partnership, Cerebras plans to expand its reach.

Cerebras intends to join the enterprise sector with its latest computing machine, the CS-3. This approach challenges Nvidia’s supremacy in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) market by providing various AI computing solutions.

    What Will the Collaboration Offer?

The two companies are coming together to offer AI systems and supercomputers. Also, machine learning expert services and white-glove large language model training will be offered as per the reports.

Similarly, Cerebras AI supercomputers will use Dell’s rack PowerEdge R6615 servers powered by EPYC 9354P processors of AMD. This will assist enterprises in training Machine Learning models at a bigger scale than present technology levels.

  • As WSE 3 maker Cerebras partners with Dell, the latest unicorn is doing some fantastic processing for AI.

    Cerebras CEO Andrew Feldman writes,

This opens up our global sales distribution channels in a meaningful way, while providing customers with the additional AI hardware, software and expertise needed to enable full-scale enterprise deployments

  • Challenging Nvidia For AI Supremacy

Nvidia has been a supreme leader in AI for a long time. But with Cerebras WSE-enabled chips, it has promoted its ability to perform on a single big wafer.

Cerebras’ wafer-scale technology is helpful in computing speed and memory utilization. It also provides considerable parallel computing abilities on a single chip. This minimizes the requirement for large-scale, high-speed interconnects between modules like Nvidia’s H100.

Both Nvidia and Cerebras are taking different roads in creating AI accelerators. While Nvidia has more parallel computing GPUs, Cerebras hopes for a centralized and massive single-chip approach.

So, let’s see whether Cerebras can replace Nvidia’s AI supremacy.
